It’s my 50th sandwich – woo hoo! The people have spoken and Turkey, Cranberry & Havarti Panini it is. Excellent choice, folks! It’s the cranberry sauce that really make this one “taste like Thanksgiving”. The buttery flavor of the Havarti is an excellent complement to the sweet-tartness of the cranberries. I grilled the sandwich on a multigrain baguette, but it would also be delicious on some thick slices of homemade wheat bread.
Did you vote for one of the other two sandwich concepts – the Prosciutto-Wrapped Turkey, Avocado & Swiss Panini or the Pulled Turkey Sliders with Cranberry BBQ Sauce? Well, never fear – I’ll be posting those too! Welcome to the first installment of my 3-part Leftover Thanksgiving Turkey Sandwiches series, designed to give you some easy and tasty ideas for using up your Thanksgiving leftovers, Panini Happy-style.
