This is a great blog! I love getting paninis whenever I’m in Santa Barbara. Panino is a great sandwich place to get one or De Vine as well. I was just there and did just this! We would spend the day at the beach and enjoy many paninis’! We stayed at the South Coast Inn (www.santa-barbara-hotel.com). So elegant and the perfect place to escape the noise of downtown!

I heard about Avila Beach earlier this year when the hubster and I wanted a little getaway. This is definitely on our list — summer or not. We love doing vacation rentals because of the cooking as well. Haven’t been to Solvang in years and need to hit Montecito. I’m thinking the panino should be lovingly referred to as the “Don Johnson.” haha!

So glad you got away – sounds like such fun, and can’t believe you spotted Don Johnson! We often rent a place for our summer getaways, and I agree, it’s nice to have a kitchen (although I find my family gets too comfortable and doesn’t want to go out and eat, which I love to do on vacation!). Thanks for sharing your pictures, looks so relaxing.
