I’ve had both of the above, excellent recommendations.
I’m going to nominate Tenuta’s deli in Kenosha, WI for their Muffo-lotta sandwich. Similar to the New Orleans specialty the Mufaletta but without the olive salad. Tenuta’s Muffo-lotta comes in 6, 9, and 12 inch rounds but you can also buy it by the slice. It’s stuffed with Mortadella, ham, capicolla, salami, pepperoni, provolone, lettuce (sparingly), mild peppers and dressed with vinegar and oil. You order your muffolotta’s inside at the deli counter but there is also an outdoor grill where you can get a variety of italian sandwiches, including paninis.

Also worth a stop in Kenosha, Hungry Head Sandwich Shop.
