I am sorry one more extra note. Do not use anything but Teflon pans or you can really mess things up including the pans.

You said keep it simple. What the ^&*( is with those white egg like things, doesn't seem very simple to me well at least you chose the best bread.

Simple Grilled Cheese Panini
Extra light virgin olive oil
Baguette - Cut in half to right size of a pan
Lettuce - Sliced just enough to cover the bread
Prosciutto - Best damn meat for it
Tomatos
Cheese of your choice (Mozerella or Jalapeno
being the best)
Mayo or BBQ sauce

1. Slice the bread in the middle (duh step)

2. Put some virgin olive oil in a bowl

3. Cover outer layers of baguette with virgin olive oil using a brush.
4. You need 2 pans set the heat up on high to heat up the pan for about 4 minutes after 4 minutes take it down to about 50% heat. One
pan needs to be big other one smaller of course.

5. Once you have your layers covered in Oil and heat down to half place one bread side down on the pan and put the meat and cheese on the baguette and place the other half of the bread on top. Take the small pan and press down on it to squeeze your baguette down until the whole thing is flattened. Press the pan down a bit and fry for about 5 minutes. Flip your baguette to the other side and do the same step (you will know if it was fried right when the bread is golden brown but not too dark!)

6. Place the Panini on your plate and open it up careful the whole thing will be very hot! Place your lettuce, tomatoes and add a bit of mayo on the lettuce or bbq sauce and close it back up.

7. Have one hell of a meal and don't forget to clean up or to turn off the stove.

this is my go-to sandwich when i don't feel like a heavy meal, especially when i can get my hands on some heirloom tomatoes. more often than not, they're absolutely luscious and utterly enjoyable. nice *&#%@!# panini! :)
